Google enables free WiFi at Logan, other airports

By Eric Convey

Google Inc. (Nasdaq: Goog) will temporarily offer free WiFi in Logan International Airport and four dozen others across the country, the Internet-everything giant announced Tuesday.

The only catch, Google reported on its blog, is that users will be offered a chance to try certain Google services.

A Google vice president wrote on the company’s blog: “Our hope is that being connected for a few extra minutes (or hours, if you’re delayed!) will help make things a bit easier. Be sure to look for the Google signs in an airport near you.”

Google says the free service is up and running and will continue through January 15.
