Health IT firm Quantros opens Marlborough office, plans new hires

Quantros Inc., a health care data management company based in San Francisco, is opening an office in Marlborough, following an acquisition.

Quantros bought MediQual, a division of CareFusion Corp., which was recently spun off from Dublin, Ohio-based Cardinal Health. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Quantros announced that as part of the deal, Quantros will open an office in Marlborough to house development, sales and marketing functions. Company officials said they would be expanding their workforce in the next year and that the move would result in job creation in the region, in addition to moving existing employees to the new location.

Quantros develops software and services to address safety, risk management, quality, accreditation and compliance, and real-time surveillance.
