Starent leases space at Ames Pond Corporate Center
Starent Networks Inc. has worked with Jones Lang LaSalle to complete a lease for 37,260 square feet of first-class office space in Ames Pond Corporate Center in Tewksbury, a business park owned by Leggat McCall Properties LLC in a joint venture with Dead River Properties LLC. Starent’s headquarters is nearby at 30 International Place in Tewksbury. Tamie Thompson, Flory McCarthy and Dan Kollar of Jones Lang LaSalle negotiated on behalf of the owners. Starent Networks was represented by John Wilson of Richards Barry Joyce & Partners.

BG Medicine renews space at Hobbs Brook Park
Richards Barry Joyce & Partners LLC has represented BG Medicine Inc. in a 21,550-square-foot lease renewal at 610 Lincoln St. North in Waltham. BG Medicine, a life sciences company focused on novel molecular diagnostics based on biomarkers, occupies space on two floors of the three-story building that is located in the Hobbs Brook Park. Jonathan Varholak, Ron Friedman and Jay Nugent represented BG Medicine in the lease. The building’s landlord, FM Global, was represented by Chip Batchelder of Wyman Street Advisors. MHT

Accela Communications eases on down the road
Accela Communications Inc. has leased 12,487 square feet of office space at 136 Turnpike Road, in Southborough. The company is moving to the new location, which is located in Southborough Place, from nearby 118 Turnpike Road in Southborough. John Lashar, partner, and Paul Leone, senior vice president, at Richards Barry Joyce & Partners represented Accela, an interactive multimedia software and services company, in the lease. The building’s landlord, Capital Group Properties, was represented by CB Richard Ellis.

NuView and VKernel find new homes at 200 Brickstone
NuView Systems Inc., a provider of human resources and payroll software tools, has executed a new 14,794-square-foot lease to relocate its headquarters from 155 West Street in Wilmington to 200 Brickstone Square in Andover. Matthew Daniels and Brian Tisbert of Colliers Meredith & Grew represented NuView Systems. VKernel Corp., a provider of virtualization management and optimization software, signed a 4,379-square-foot lease to relocate its headquarters from Portsmouth, N.H. VKernel was represented by the T3 Advisors team of Greg Hoffmeister and Mike Taylor. The Colliers Meredith & Grew team of Matthew Daniels, Christopher Lawrence and Brian Tisbert represented building owner Transwestern Investment Co. in the transactions.
Mentor Graphics moves floors in Marlborough
David Ross and Chris Elsenbach of CresaPartners in Boston recently represented Mentor Graphics Inc. in an office lease of 16,376 square feet on the third floor at 300 Nickerson Road in Marlborough. Mentor Graphics, an electronic hardware and software design solutions company, is relocating from the top floor of the 80,724-square-foot office building, which is part of a 573,576-square-foot master-planned office park. The landlord, Normandy Real Estate, was represented by John Lashar from Richards Barry Joyce & Partners.
