Rhodes leaves Edgewater, joins PlumChoice as CFO
By Mass High Tech staff
Kevin R. Rhodes, the former chief financial officer at systems integration company Edgewater Technology Inc., has taken a new job as CFO of PlumChoice Inc. He is expected to begin the new role on Sept. 8.
PlumChoice, founded in 2001, is an online computer support firm based in Billerica, with additional remote offices nationally. The company provides support for PCs, but also for printers, mobile devices, digital cameras and network devices. Rhodes spent eight years at Wakefield-based Edgewater, which provides technology management consulting services. He accepted the position eight years ago, just over a year after Edgewater had made news when an employee shot and killed seven Edgewater employees in the Wakefield office on the day after Christmas. In an e-mail yesterday, Rhodes wrote, “The past eight years at Edgewater have been very rewarding for me both personally and professionally.”
Just two years ago, PlumChoice had quadrupled the number of its employees in one year. The company closed its $4.8 million second round of venture capital, led by New Jersey-based Edison Venture Fund, in August 2007.
