Startup Watch: Five you should follow

As part of each week’s Startup Report, Mass High Tech highlights five startup companies, and their business goals, that are profiled in the New England Tech Directory. With each week's Startup Watch, Mass High Tech will choose the weekly featured companies by soliciting nominations through a poll of 10 companies, with links to their profiles in the New England Tech Directory. Pickup Zone LLC:  Boston-based Pickup Zone partners with with local convenient stores, hardware stores, dry cleaners, etc. to store your packages. It has developed a tracking system to track items en route. The company was founded in 2009.

Adva Mobile Corp.:  Wayland-based Adva provides software as a service intended to enable musicians connect with their audiences through mobile messaging, mobile content fulfillment, mobile presence, and sharing through social networks. The company was founded in 2008.

Bluewire Partners:  Needham-based Bluewire provides business-class hosted VOIP phone services for small- and medium-sized organizations. The company was founded in 2006.

Black-I Robotics Inc.:  Tyngsboro-based Black-I designs and manufactures unmanned ground vehicles for military, research and homeland security applications. The company was founded in 2006.
