Crowdsourcing software firm Imaginatik lands $2.6M
By Mass High Tech staff
Imaginatik plc, a Boston enterprise software company, has pulled in $2.6 million from new and returning investors.
The company focuses its software development on crowdsourcing — reliance on customers and users to create the software and services to fit company needs. Imaginatik’s Idea Central system maps how human networks work, from idea generation to implementation. The system is aimed at helping companies reduce costs, create new products and work more sustainably.
Currently, the company’s clients include Chubb, Merck, Boeing, Cargill and Xerox.
The new funding will enable Imaginatik (AIM: IMTK) to grow by further developing its crowdsourcing enterprise software. The company didn’t identify its investors.
The company announced earlier this month that it had developed its ChemBioConnect tool for CambridgeSoft as an online collaboration tool in the fields of chemistry, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.
In addition to its Boston headquarters, Imaginatok runs an office in the United Kingdom.
