Startup Watch: Five you should follow

As part of each week’s Startup Report, Mass High Tech highlights five startup companies, and their business goals, that are profiled in the New England Tech Directory. With each week's Startup Watch, Mass High Tech will choose the weekly featured companies by soliciting nominations through a poll of 10 companies, with links to their profiles in the New England Tech Directory. Buzzient Inc.:   Cambridge-based Buzzient provides social media analytics for marketing. The company was founded in 2007.

Socialtality:   Founded in 2007, Socialtality is a semantic web application that reviews the user’s presence and performance in the social web (blogs, forums, tweets, etc.). The company is based in Boston.

Immuneering Corp.:   Boston-based Immuneering makes proprietary computational models to simulate the interaction between therapies and a patient’s immune system. The company was founded in 2008.

Optasia Medical Inc.:   Sudbury-based Optasia makes software that facilitates the reading of x-rays for the management of osteoporosis and arthritis. The company was founded in 2006.

Pixily Inc.:   Founded in 2007, Pixily is an online service intended to help users make paper and digital documents more readily available. The company is based in Waltham.
