Roush president Tom Taylor to chair MassMEDIC

The Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council (MassMEDIC) reports it has appointed Roush Life Sciences president Tom Taylor to the position of chairman of its board of directors.
Before joining Roush in 2008, Taylor was president of Nypro Life Sciences, a division of plastics manufacturer Nypro Inc. Taylor has also worked as vice president of Millipore Corp.’s OEM health care business unit. In 2007, Taylor traveled to China with Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick on a life sciences and clean energy trade mission.
MassMEDIC was established in 1996. The organization has more than 300 members, primarily manufacturers, product developers, suppliers, research institutions and academic health centers.
Roush Life Sciences is a division of Roush Enterprises Inc., whose holdings include product engineering and development supplier Roush Industries, Roush Fenway Racing, Roush Performance Products and Roush Manufacturing. Roush Life Sciences designs and develops laboratory research products and medical devices.
