Venture capitalist confidence is falling

VC confidence is both shaken and stirred
When asked if they are more confident in the state of the VC industry than they were six months ago, most of 137 VCs said no
 

More confident than six months ago?

40.1%  -  Yes
59.9%  -  No


Is the VC industry broken?

47.1%  -  No
52.9%  -  Yes


Exits locked
VCs say their greatest concerns are the lack of exits and keeping syndicates together
 

What are you most worried about
1) Exit markets — When will they return    53.6%
2) Syndicate Risk — Tough to predict ability of syndicates to hold together    20.1%
3) Portfolio — It is all about survivability    18.1%
4) New Deals — No one seems in a hurry to do anything    15.8%
