The Pitch: The company is looking for funding to hire four employees, buy technology and pay for marketing and advertising.

PITCHING THE TECHNOLOGY
Advanced Communications and Media Inc. (ACM) says it’s transitioning to providing hosted VoIP, digital security video and other data services, rather than servicing a customer’s hardware onsite. ACM offers products and services in four areas: Voice and data phone systems, computer networks, card access systems, and security and surveillance systems. The company provides technology services such as phone system installation, VoIP, PBX and voice mail maintenance, data cable design and maintenance, card access system installation, and alarm and closed-circuit TV installation. The company is looking for funding to hire a systems engineer, as well as specialists in VoIP and Verizon Communications Inc.’s SIP trunking technology. ACM also says it plans to purchase more centralized switches and expand its services to different platforms.
