
Under the deal, a subcontract from QinetiQ North America, Dynamics Research (Nasdaq: DRCO) will provide recommendations for the redesign of the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service’s Agriculture Quarantine Activity System (AQAS),
Dynamics Research will work with QinetiQ North America to redesign AQAS to improve the workflow, data sharing and data analysis of the office’s Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) program, which is intended to safeguard agriculture and natural resources from pests and noxious weeds.
The contract has one base year and two one-year options.
In April, Dynamics Research landed $1.3 million from the U.S. Army for the development of a training program. Under the deal, awarded by the Army’s Armor School and Center Directorate of Training, Doctrine, Combat Development and Experimentation, the company will continue to develop the Heavy Brigade Combat Team Tactical Leaders Course.
The same week, the Andover-based IT company landed a $1.6 million subcontract to provide training and support to the Royal Saudi Air Force. Dynamics Research won the deal from prime contractor Vangent Inc., a Virginia-based IT company which initially won the contract from the U.S. Air Force. Under the deal, Dynamics Research will assist Vangent with the conversion of more than 1,400 training modules to a web-based e-learning platform.
Dynamics Research was founded in 1955. The company reported a net loss of $1.25 million on revenue of $242.8 million for fiscal 2008.
