Stealthy Westford startup ActiFio Corp. has landed $4 million in new funding, according to federal documents.
The company, which describes itself as an IT storage-related company on its website, lists Ash Ashutosh as president. Ashutosh is a partner at the Boston office of Greylock Partners, a firm which recently relocated its headquarters from Boston to its West Coast office at Menlo Park, Calif.
Also listed as a board member in the filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange commission is James Goldstein, a partner with Waltham-based North Bridge Venture Partners.
Ashutosh was one of the co-founders of AppIQ Inc., a Burlington-based storage management software company that was acquired by Hewlett-Packard Co. in 2005. Prior to helping found AppIQ, he was a senior vice president at Waltham-based StorageNetworks Inc., a storage managed services company that was brought low by the dot-com bubble burst, eventually announcing plans to liquidate in July of 2003 and being bought out of bankruptcy by Newton’s Rocket Software Inc. in December of 2003.
