Startup Watch: Five you should follow

3Play Media: Somerville-based 3Play provides transcription services, specializing in time synchronization, video captioning, archive indexing and search. The company was founded in 2007.

Wordstream Inc.: Boston-based Wordstream provides keyword management solutions for optimizing and expanding paid and organic search marketing efforts involving large numbers of keywords. The company was founded in 2009.

Terrafugia Inc.: Woburn-based Terrafugia is developing a “roadable aircraft,” or a flying car. The company was founded in 2006.

Levant Power Corp.: Founded in 2008, Levant has developed a green technology intended to improve a vehicle’s fuel economy by harvesting wasted energy in the suspension. The company is located in Boston.

American Innovative Research Corp.: Founded in 2009, AIR develops technology for use in household and institutional airborne contamination purification and protection. The company is headquartered in Andover.
