MassTLC names Technology Leadership finalists

The Mass Technology Leadership Council has announced the first group of finalists for its Technology Leadership Awards.
 
MassTLC announced finalists in the categories of private sector company, public sector organization, CEO, innovator and CIO of the year. The next batch of finalists — for the categories of emerging innovative company, CTO, investor and emerging executive of the year — will be announced July 16. Winners will be announced November 5.

The awards are intended to honor people and organizations who demonstrate leadership and excellence in business and the development and deployment of technology.

The following are finalists for the awards:

Private sector company:

    • Glasshouse Technologies Inc.
    • Pegasystems Inc.
    • Phase Forward Inc.
    • Starent Networks Inc.
    • Turbine Inc.

Public sector organization:

    • Babson College
    • City of Boston - MIS Department
    • Town of Brookline
    • WBUR

CEO of the year:

    • Colin Angle, iRobot Corp.
    • Brian Halligan, HubSpot Inc.
    • David Patrick, xkoto Inc.
    • Michael Simon, LogMeIn Inc.
    • Brian Zanghi, Kadient Inc.

Innovator of the year:

    • Danah Boyd, the Berkman Center for Internet and Society
    • Rich Miner, Google Inc.
    • Timothy Rowe, Cambridge Innovation Center
    • Dharmesh Shah, HubSpot

CIO of the Year

    • George Brenckle, UMass Memorial Health Center
    • Bill Fandrich, Blue Cross Blue Shield Massachusetts
    • Jay Leader, iRobot
    • Anne Margulies, Commonwealth of Massachusetts
    • John Polizzi, BJ’s
