By Mass High Tech staff
Salem-based startup Digital Lumens Inc. has landed $6.3 million in venture funding, according to federal documents.
Among the company’s backers is Flybridge Capital Partners of Boston. Also contributing to the round is Stata Venture Partners of Needham. Jon Karlen of Flybridge is listed in public documents as a director, as is Lee Barbieri of Stata Venture Partners.
Digital Lumens is a clean technology company that is focused on high-efficiency, low-cost LED lighting, according to its website. The regulatory filing lists Tom Pincince, the former president and CEO of Brix Networks (acquired in 2008 by EXFO) as an officer of the company. Also isted in the filing as an officer is Jonathan Guerster, the CEO of Groom Energy Solutions, which shares the same Salem address as Digital Lumens. A spokesperson at Flybridge would not confirm that the Pincince and Guerster named in the filings were, in fact, the same executives as those veterans with local ties, but according to his profile on LinkedIn, Tom Pincince is listed as president and CEO of Digital Lumens.
