Inmagic picks tech vet Matros for top roles
By Mass High Tech Staff
Content management software company Inmagic has a new president and CEO in industry veteran Ron Matros, who will also join Inmagic’s board of directors. He replaces former president and CEO Paul Puzzanghera, who led the company since 2006.
Matros joins Woburn-based Inmagic from MetaCarta Inc. of Cambridge, where he also served as president and CEO. Before that, he held the same two titles at iConverse Inc. of Waltham, which was acquired in 2003 by InfoClarus Inc. of Lexington.
Previously Matros served as president of OpenMarket Inc. and FutureTense Inc., and again added the CEO role when the companies merged in 1999.
Matros holds a master’s degree in business administration from Northeastern University.
Inmagic, founded in 1973 by Betty Eddison and Karen Brothers, landed its first round of venture funding in 2007 worth $5 million from the Edison Venture Fund of New Jersey. The company focuses its content management software on corporate research libraries and counts NASA and Newsweek among its customers.
