Civil litigation attorney, Theodore M. Hess-Mahan, has joined the Zeytoonian Center for Dispute Resolution, a new center with offices in Wellesley Hills and Westborough that offers alternatives to resolving disputes in court, as of counsel. Previously, he was associated with the law firm of Shapiro Haber & Urmy LLP. Hess-Mahan began his practice as a civil litigation attorney with Ropes & Gray LLP. Hess-Mahan received his bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and his law degree from Suffolk University Law School.
Pluris Marketing Inc., a Framingham-based provider of multi-channel marketing solutions, has appointed Diane Lucero to the position of strategic relationship manager. Prior to joining Pluris, Lucero served as vice president of major accounts for the business-to-consumer and business-to-business divisions at Abacus, a division of Epsilon Data Management LLC. Previously, she developed her vertical market experience at United States Sales Corp. Lucero holds a bachelor’s degree in social science and a MBA from the University of Southern California.
Eliza Corp., a Beverly-based health care communications company, has appointed Saeed Aminzadeh to senior vice president of sales. Prior to joining Eliza, Aminzadeh served as senior vice president of sales and marketing at ProVentive Inc., and at Ingenix, where he served as senior vice president of solution sales.
GEI Consultants Inc., a Woburn-based geotechnical, environmental engineering and water resources firm, has hired a pair of senior practice leaders and a marketing manager. Peter Heynen has joined GEI as a senior geotechnical leader in the Atlantic region, located in the Glastonbury, Conn., office. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from New England College and a master’s degree in geotechnical engineering from the University of Connecticut. Todd Coffin has joined the firm as a senior practice leader and branch manager for the Portland, Maine, office. He holds a bachelor’s degree in geology from Colby College and a master’s degree from Purdue University. Joseph Barry serves as the New England regional marketing manager and is located at GEI’s corporate headquarters in Woburn. He holds a degree in marketing and business administration from Northeastern University.
Life Sciences
Cambridge-based Genocea Biosciences Inc., a vaccine discovery and development company, has hired Jane L. Halpern as vice president of regulatory affairs. Halpern was most recently director of regulatory affairs and head of technical regulatory affairs in North America for GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals. Prior to GSK, Halpern served as vice president of global regulatory affairs for ID Biomedical Corp. She was formerly associate director of regulatory affairs at the U.S. office of ERA Consulting LLC. Before ERA, she had been at the vaccine division of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research. Halpern received her bachelor’s degree in physiology from the University of California at Davis and her doctorate in pharmacology from the University of Rochester.

Workscape Inc., a Marlborough-based provider of outsourced benefits and talent management solutions, has promoted Stephen Migliaccio to vice president of product management. Migliaccio began his tenure with Workscape in 2001 as a director of business development. Prior to joining Workscape, Migliaccio held various sales leadership roles at organizations including RealLifeHR, Unum Corp. and The Provident Companies.
Hardware
Data warehouse appliance maker Netezza Corp. has hired David Flaxman as chief strategy officer. Prior to joining Marlborough-based Netezza, Flaxman spent 10 years in the consulting industry, first with Sybase Inc., then as managing partner of the advanced technology practice at KPMG LLP. His background also includes senior positions at Fannie Mae and Goldman Sachs Group Inc.
