Dynamics Research Corp. reports it has landed $1.3 million from the U.S. Army for the development of a training program.
Under the deal, awarded by the Army’s Armor School and Center Directorate of Training, Doctrine, Combat Development and Experimentation, Dynamics Research (Nasdaq: DRCO) will continue to develop the Heavy Brigade Combat Team Tactical Leaders Course.
Dynamics Research will provide lesson plans for training development support, and provide mobile training team instruction to operational units, the company said.
The deal is Dynamics Research’s fourth under the Armor School’s indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract, which has a potential total value of $97 million.
Yesterday, the Andover-based IT company reported it landed a $1.6 million deal to provide training and support to the Royal Saudi Air Force. Dynamics Research won the deal from prime contractor Vangent Inc., a Virginia-based IT company which initially won the contract from the U.S. Air Force. Under the deal, Dynamics Research will assist Vangent with the conversion of more than 1,400 training modules to a web-based e-learning platform.
Last week, Dynamics Research landed part of a $50 billion contract from the U.S. General Services Administration for IT management consulting, engineering and other services for federal agencies.
The GSA contract, which was awarded in 2007 to Dynamics Research (Nasdaq: DRCO) and 29 other companies, was protested, according to a Dynamics Research spokesperson. A federal judge ruled that the GSA had not properly evaluated the bids, and the agency was forced to reevaluate the awards. Dynamics Research was also chosen the second time, and it and the other 29 companies will compete for work under the $50 billion deal.
Dynamics Research was founded in 1955. The company reported a net loss of $1.25 million on revenue of $242.8 million for fiscal 2008.
