DRC lands Air Force support deal worth $3.7M

By Mass High Tech Staff

Dynamics Research Corp. reports it won a $3.7 million task order to provide continued program management and logistics support for the 417th Supply Chain Management Squadron at Ogden Air Logistics Center in Utah.

Andover-based Dynamics Research (Nasdaq: DRCO) was awarded the contract through the Air Logistics Center at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, under its General Services Administration Logistics Worldwide contract. Dynamics Research will support the management, analysis and evaluation of performance metrics, parts availability data, production status, and funds and forecast information for the 417th.

The award has a one-year basic period, with four one-year options, according to officials.

Last month, Dynamics Research received a simulation and training systems development contract, for an unnamed amount, through the U.S. Army’s $17.5 billion STOC II program.

STOC II refers to the 10-year U.S. Army Program Executive Office Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Omnibus Contract -- the largest Department of Defense multiple-award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract for simulation and training. Terms of that contract call for one base period and three option periods.

Dynamics Research was founded in 1955. The company reported a net loss of $1.25 million on revenue of $242.8 million for fiscal 2008.
