By Mass High Tech Staff
An entire life sciences patent law group has left the firm of Lahive & Cockfield LLP to join McCarter & English LLP in its Boston office, the latter firm reports.
Partners Elizabeth Hanley, Danielle Herritt, Maria Laccotripe Zacharakis, and Cristin Howley Cowles, along with an additional eight team members including associates, patent agents and technical specialists jumped over to McCarter & English. Some members of the team have been working together for more than ten years, according to the McCarter & English.
The firm, which has 400 attorneys on the East Coast, now has 45 intellectual property and information technology lawyers in its IP group. McCarter & English says it has been involved in almost 50 patent prosecution filings for pharmaceutical companies in litigation involving generic drug manufacturers.
McCarter & English, established more than 160 years ago, represents Fortune 500 and middle-market companies in their national, regional and local litigation and on important transactions.
