Software
CyberSource Corp., a global provider of electronic payment processing services, has named James Lundy to the position of principal product manager in Boston, where he will be responsible for strategic development of business intelligence products and services. He has more than 25 years of enterprise software experience, and prior to CyberSource, held product management positions at Progress Software Corp., Network Engines Inc., and Digital Equipment Corp.

Dexrex LLC, a provider of free IM and SMS message archiving, has appointed John Wastcoat as vice president of global business development. In this role, Wastcoat will be responsible for growing, developing and leading the company’s sales, marketing and business development efforts. He has previously worked at Cantata Technology Inc., Brooktrout Technology Inc. and the Pennsylvania Department of Economic Development. In these positions, he helped secure global partnerships with Enterprise Fortune 500 companies and develop original equipment manufacturer relationships with various telecom equipment providers and service providers.

Salem-based e-mail service provider Net Atlantic Inc. has hired three new employees. Gregg Hanson is now a technical support manager. Hanson formerly served as a technician and manager at Gordon College. Derek Lewis, previously a telecommunications support expert at Comcast Corp., joined Net Atlantic’s technical support staff. Michele Campbell was hired as Net Atlantic’s new market­ing manager. She previously worked as marketing director for Courtroom Connect Inc.’s AudioCaseFiles service and as marketing design manager for Road Scholar educational travel.

Finance
William Reiland has joined Boston-based investment bank Leerink Swann LLC as managing director of investment banking. He will be responsible for originating, structuring and marketing royalty monetizations, mezzanine financings and private equity transactions. Prior to joining Leerink Swann, Reiland served as managing director at Morgan Stanley. Reiland had previously worked at Bain & Co. and Fidelity Management and Research Corp. In addition, he has served on the board of directors of several services and pharmaceutical companies, including US Oncology Holdings Inc. and JHP Pharmaceuticals LLC. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Yale and a master’s from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

Education
Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston has appointed Russell Pinizzotto as the next vice president for academic affairs and provost. Previously, Pinizzotto served as the dean of the faculty of science and engineering at Merrimack College in North Andover. Prior to Merrimack, he spent four years as the dean of the Missouri Academy of Science, Mathematics and Computing, and for 13 years he was a professor of materials science and physics at the University of North Texas. Before his career in higher education, Pinizzotto worked in industry as an entrepreneur, founding a technical consulting services firm. He was also employed by Texas Instruments as a senior member of the technical staff.

Leslie Meyer-Leon, the immediate past president of the Boston Patent Law Association, has joined Bromberg & Sunstein LLP, a Boston-based intellectual property law firm serving life sciences and technology clients. Meyer-Leon, who holds a Ph.D. in molecular and cellular biology, will continue to assist clients in developing strategic patent portfolios especially in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, biochemistry and immunology. Over the past eight years, Meyer-Leon managed her own law practice. She received an associate’s degree from Smith College, a doctorate from Boston College Law School and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
