The North Andover-based company also reports its board has elected Bruce Blessington as non-executive chairman. Smith previously served as CEO of Lenox-based KWI International Inc., a water treatment technology company. He has also worked for NextBoston Investment Partners LLC.
Blessington also sits on the board of Seabrook, N.H.-based orthopedic surgical instrument manufacturer Seabrook International. He previously served as CEO of Ferraris Group PLC, a medical device manufacturer. He has also served as CEO of Devens-based in-vitro diagnostics company Bionostics Inc.
Flight Landata develops and manufactures high-resolution airborne digital imaging systems used for aerial mapping and intelligence gathering, surveillance and reconnaissance information. The company says the U.S. military uses its BuckEye system in Iraq and Afghanistan to detect roadside bombs and other threats.
