Time Warner’s Jack Haire heads to HCP

Lexington-based Highland Capital Partners has appointed Time Warner Inc. (NYSE: TWX) executive Jack Haire as an in-house venture executive, according to venture capital firm’s website.

A former TIME Magazine publisher and one-time president of the Fortune/Money Group, Haire worked with CNN on the launch of CNNMoney.com, according to his online biography. Most recently, Haire served as president of sales and marketing at Time Inc., and chairman of the Time Warner Advertising Council, where he directed development and sale of Time Warner’s largest advertising contracts.

Haire will be based in New York. He joins Highland general partners Bob Davis, Richard de Silva, Fergal Mullen, Corey Mulloy and Dan Nova in the firm’s Internet and Digital Media division, where Harvard Law School professor John Palfrey is also a venture executive.

Haire could not immediately be reached for comment Tuesday morning.
