Boynton Angels taps founder Golden as chairman

Worcester-based angel investment group Boynton Angels Inc. has named founding member Chris Golden as the organization’s chairman.
Before being named chairman, Golden served as the chairman of the screening committee for two years. Golden is president of Mission Critical Advisors, and has served in a number of C-level roles in industrial and technology companies, including president and chairman of the board of ProSpeed.net Inc.
Golden holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Lafayette College and an MBA from Boston University. He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, the Turnaround Management Association, the WPI Venture Forum, and has held posts in the American Electronics Association New England Council and serves on the boards of directors of several firms in New England.
Boynton Angels counts among its investments i-Team, a provider of integrated sales and fulfillment solutions to technology resellers, retailers and OEMs; The Benefactory, a publisher of children’s books, audiotapes, plush toys and video cassettes; and Hammerhead Sleds, a Vermont-based maker of next-generation sleds using high-tech materials and design principles.
