Dynamics Research Corp. reports it has landed $3.3 million from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for quality control services on a biometrics system.
The Andover-based company will perform the work for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ office of field operations. The company said it will be working on reducing applicant backlog and streamlining the applicant process for immigration benefits. The process includes photographing and fingerprinting an applicant for criminal background checks. Dynamics Research (Nasdaq: DRCO) will provide support for data management, scheduling, trend analysis, equipment use, personnel support, special projects, standard operating procedures and project reporting.
Last month, Dynamics Research brought in two Homeland Security deals. The company got $1.5 million to provide program management support to Homeland Security’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis. It also landed $11.5 million from the Office of Customs and Border Protection, Air and Marine — a law enforcement air force, with air and marine forces stationed at U.S. borders. Under that deal, Dynamics Research will develop training and simulation for the office.
Founded in 1955, Dynamics Research reported a 2007 net income of $7.1 million on revenue of $229.6 million.
