Startup Watch: Five you should follow

Anthurium Solutions Inc.: Founded in 2006, Anthurium has developed a SaaS-based online marketplace to help digital workers find digital work. The company is based in Boston.

RKO Security: According to its website, RKO is a stealth-mode startup focused on enterprise data security and customer data privacy in enterprise applications. The company is based in North Providence, and was founded in 2006.

Arkalon Chemical Technologies LLC: Meriden, Conn.-based Arkalon provides manufacturing services for chemical companies, including development, synthesis and production. The company was founded in 2006.

Evergreen USA LLC: Nashua, N.H.-based Evergreen was founded in 2008. The company resells communications and security software to the industrial, critical infrastructure, and homeland security markets to help them operate more efficiently in an effort to reduce energy use.

Bandgap Engineering Inc.: Bandgap is developing and manufacturing solar cells and modules intended to perform more efficiently than commercially available alternatives. The Waltham-based company was founded in 2007.
