Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner LLP, an international law firm, has elected Jonathan M. Gelchinsky as a partner at its Cambridge location. Gelchinsky handles trademark litigation, domestic and international trademark prosecution and disputes, trademark clearance, and proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University and a doctorate in law from American University, Washington College of Law.
Information Technology
Lighthouse Computer Services Inc., a Lincoln, R.I.-based computer technology company, has appointed Ernie Yenke as the company’s president. Yenke has been a member of Lighthouse’s senior management team since 2004 and has led the firm’s strategic expansion into IT professional services. As president, he will be responsible for all day-to-day management of the organization and its subsidiaries. The company’s founder, Thomas Mrva, will retain his CEO title.
Michael Perfit recently became the chief technology officer at IAM Health, a Lexington-based medical records technology company. In this role, he will be responsible for the architecture and development of IAM’s health-care informatics platform. Prior to joining IAM Health, he was senior vice president and co-founder of Lightbridge Inc, a provider of software solutions for customer acquisition, retention and profiling for the wireless carrier industry.
Finance
Litle & Co., a Lowell-based payment management platform, has appointed Tom Pouliot as payments evangelist. In the newly created role, Pouliot will provide continuing education for employees and merchants while also serving as briefings executive on the payments industry at large, market trends, issues and competitive positioning. Prior to joining Litle & Co., Pouliot founded his own independent sales organization, Alliance Merchant Services.

Bedford-based VisEn Medical Inc. has expanded its sales and marketing staff to include John McCool as vice president of sales in the Americas and Rob Sandler as senior vice president of marketing. The medical imaging technology company has also promoted John Kleijne to senior vice president and general manager in Europe. McCool joins VisEn from Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., where he was the North American director of sales for the laboratory automation and cellular imaging businesses. Prior to joining VisEn, Sandler was the vice president of marketing at VisualSonics. Kleijne has been at VisEn since 2007.
Worcester-based Cogmedix Inc., the medical device manufacturing subsidiary of Coghlin Companies Inc., has hired Lianne Coppinger as director of compliance and regulatory affairs. Prior to joining Cogmedix, Coppinger was quality assurance manager for the cardiac care division of Philips Medical Systems, where she was responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality-system protocols. Coppinger has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix and is currently pursuing her master’s degree.
Microfluidics, a Newton-based subsidiary of Microfluidics International Corp., has appointed Otto Linwood, Jr. as Midwest regional sales manager. Prior to joining Microfluidics, Linwood was the president of Otto Linwood Enterprises Inc., a manufacturer of custom designed containment systems for pharmaceutical markets. He has also previously been the regional sales manager for Romoco Inc. and division manager for Flanders Absolute Isolation.
Syndexa Pharmaceuticals Corp., a Cambridge-based biopharmaceutical company developing drugs to treat metabolic diseases, has appointed Paul C. Anderson as vice president of medicinal chemistry. He had previously worked as the head of the Boehringer Ingelheim research centers in Canada and in the United States. Prior to that, he worked at Merck Frosst Canada Inc. He earned his doctorate in organic chemistry at the University of Alberta.
