Andover’s Dynamics Research wins $1.5M DHS deal

Dynamics Research Corp. has landed $1.5 million to provide IT services to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Under the deal, Dynamics Research (Nasdaq: DRCO) will provide program management support to Homeland Security’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis, including services supporting identification and authentication technologies, mission-related planning, deployment, operations, and maintenance activities for critical projects. The task order has a one-year base period with two option years.

Last week, the Andover-based company landed another Homeland Security deal, for $11.5 million for web-based training and simulation software. That deal, with four option years after the first $11.5 million base year, came from Homeland Security’s Office of Customs and Border Protection, Air and Marine. Under the deal, Dynamics Research will develop training and simulation for the office.

Founded in 1955, Dynamics Research reported a 2007 net income of $7.1 million on revenue of $229.6 million.
