Fast-growth firms see stock plummet by end of 2008

Growth companies took a Wall Street beating

To get a sense of the impact that the economic crisis may be having on companies, Mass High Tech looked at the changes in stock prices for some of the tech companies drawn from the Boston Business Journal’s 2008 Fastest-Growing Public Companies list, published in September (based on three-year revenue growth). A comparison of their early January stock prices with their 52-week highs brought out red numbers showing declines ranging from 12.1 percent to a staggering 92.7 percent.
