
Aerospace and defense components company Barnes Group Inc. reports it has appointed Christopher Stephens as its CFO.
Prior to joining Bristol, Conn.-based Barnes, Stephens had most recently served as president of Honeywell International Inc.’s Honeywell Consumer Products division. He has also worked as CFO of Honeywell’s Transportation Systems division, Boeing Co.’s Boeing Satellite Systems and Ingersoll Rand Co.
Stephens received a B.S. in accounting from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Penn. and an MBA in corporate finance from Virginia Tech’s Pamplin School of Business. Stephens is a member of the advisory council at Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business.
Stephens replaced Francis Boyle, who had been acting CFO. Boyle, who had also served as controller, was promoted to chief accounting officer.
Barnes Group (NYSE: B) manufactures and services components for defense contractors. The company reported a 2007 net income of $101.3 million on revenue of $1.4 billion.
