WorldCare Clinical LLC, an imaging clinical research organization, has named Richard Walovitch its chief medical officer, working as the liason for physicians and teaching hospitals and serving as the company’s in-house medical professional for WCC’s parent company, ProScan Imaging LLC. Walovitch will also support the WCC’s clinical research and study undertakings.

Walovitch graduated with a doctorate in pharmacology from the University of Illinois Medical Center.
WCC provides imaging services for clinical trials in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical devices industries.
The company was founded in 1992 as part of the Massachusetts General Hospital’s Department of Radiology and has remained in close connection with the department even after becoming a separate company in 1995. The company is also part of Cincinnati-based ProScan Imaging, which acquired the majority of WCC’s ownership in 2006.
