Martin J. Horne has rejoined Workscape Inc., a Marlborough-based provider of outsourced benefits and talent management products, as Northeast outsourced benefit administration senior sales and business development leader. Horne assumes the position previously held by Mike Smith, who has been promoted to vice president, OBA sales. Horne has close to 20 years of experience in relationship management, strategic leadership and technology. He previously held positions as strategic account executive and client engagement manager at Workscape. His most recent position was vice president of Consulting Services at Veritude. Earlier in his career, he held positions at Razorfish and the Department of Environmental Protection, Boston.

Boston-based law firm Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP has brought on board Anne Marie Cook as a partner in its business and technology group, where she will continue to focus her practice on life sciences companies. Prior to joining Choate, Cook was a principal at Miller Canfield. Previously she was a senior vice president and general counsel at ViaCell Inc. Before that, she was vice president and chief corporate counsel at Biogen Idec Inc., where she worked for 13 years.
Life sciences
RXi Pharmaceuticals Corp. has named Konstantinos Andrikopoulos as vice president, legal counsel and chief intellectual property counsel. Prior to joining Worcester-based RXi Pharmaceuticals, Andrikopoulos spent six years at Shire Human Genetic Therapies Inc. (formerly known as Transkaryotic Therapies Inc.) where he most recently served as senior patent counsel. Prior to Shire, he spent five years with Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks PC as a technology specialist, patent agent and patent attorney, creating and managing patent estates for a number of biotechnology clients.
John M. Collins has been named director of technology implementation at CIMIT, the Center for Integration of Medicine and Innovative Technology. Collins was president of Tiax LLC, the Cambridge technology processing company, before coming to CIMIT. He joined Arthur D. Little Inc. (Tiax’s predecessor) with an initial focus of forming a medical device development practice. He went on to lead ADL’s business in Asia and then its Cambridge-based technology and innovation business. Collins holds more than 20 U.S. patents on new products and manufacturing processes, including trocars and staplers for minimally invasive surgery, blood fluid warmers, and tendon and ligament repair methods.

E-mail archiving, continuity and security company Mimecast, founded in the U.K., has bolstered its Newton-based North American operations by naming MaryKay Roberto as senior vice president and general manager, Eric Odell as vice president of marketing, David R. Sunderland as director of finance and William Zuckermann as vice president of sales. Roberto served as general manager of U.K.-based KVS Inc. Following KVS, she was vice president of sales at MetaLINCS. Odell previously was senior vice president of marketing for Teamstudio and vice president of marketing at Spiritsoft. Sunderland most recently served as director of financial operations for Fast Search & Transfer Inc. He has held financial and consulting positions with Dawson International PLC and Waste Management Inc. Zuckermann joined Mimecast UK as sales director in 2004 before moving to the North American office in January of 2008. Prior to joining Mimecast, Zuckermann worked for IT security and networking businesses in the U.S. market.
Finance
Won Park has joined investment bank Covington Associates LLC as an analyst. Prior to joining Covington, Park worked as an analyst in Piper Jaffray’s financial institutions group in New York. At Piper, he was involved in completing a variety of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, and public offerings of debt and equity. Park holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Middlebury College.
