Aduromed renames to MedClean Technologies
By Mass High Tech staff
Aduromed Industries Inc., a Bethel, Conn.-based medical waste handling tech firm, has announced its new name change to MedClean Technologies Inc. The launch of the company’s new identity marks the firm’s business plan to lead the $2 billion medical waste treatment market, according to MedClean officials.
Founded in 1997 as Aduromed Industries Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aduromed Corp., MedClean Technologies (OTC: ADRM) developes its flagship MedClean Series systems. The systems enable hospitals and other health-care providers to safely, efficiently and cost-effectively convert bio-hazardous regulated medical waste into sterile, unrecognizable material suitable for disposal as municipal solid waste, officials said.
Earlier this week, the company’s founder, vice chairman and chief development officer Damien Tanaka announced plans to retire and resign from the company and its board, effective as of Dec. 31.
MedClean also changed its board of directors with the addition of Kenneth L. Londoner, a business development and corporate finance leader for cardiac diagnostics firm NewCardio Inc., in November.
In September, the company added Scott Grisanti as the new CEO and announced it had raised an additional $1 million in new equity capital to be used for corporate restructuring, adding to the $3.8 million it raised in August.
