Jaz’d to add Web 2.0 to Chemical Yellow Pages

By Galen Moore

Jaz’d Markets Inc. has formed a partnership with Purchasing magazine to create a new version of the publication’s Chemical Yellow Pages industry directory.

Jaz’d, a web 2.0 business-to-business marketing service company based in Andover, just a week earlier said it had secured an $8 million first round of venture funding, backed by Commonwealth Capital Ventures and Pilot House Ventures.

The new Chemical Yellow Pages will address chemical procurement executives’ stated desire for deeper chemical expertise, peer ratings and reviews, side-by-side product comparisons, and access to others with similar procurement needs, according to a press release issued by Jaz’d. It is expected to be available in the spring.

Online services now operated by Jaz’d include www.jazdchemicals.com, www.jazdenergy.com and www.jazdoilandgas.com. The sites offer directory ad placement, contextual display advertising, lead generation and a social media marketing platform.
