The MathWorks Inc. and the Museum of Science Boston have partnered to host all-day Free Film Fridays on Jan. 9, 16 and 23, at the Mugar Omni Theater.

The IMAX dome screen will feature “Roving Mars,” “The Greatest Places,” “Wild Ocean,” and “Adrenaline Rush” as part of the Free Film Fridays. To kick off the Friday film special, The MathWorks and the Museum of Science Boston will host “A Night on Mars” on Friday, Jan. 9, at 6:45 p.m., in which the public can view “Roving Mars” in the theater, meet Cornell astromer Steve Squyres and simulate a NASA mission control experience using the Museum’s Personal Exploration Rover (PER).

Visitors are limited to two shows per guest and may pick up tickets on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the show.

The Mathworks has supported the Museum since 1991. Its philanthropic efforts, led by MathWorks corporate relations manager Liz Callanan, has led the company to receive a 2008 Tech Citizenship award from Mass High Tech.

The MathWorks, which makes technical computing software for engineers and scientists in industry, government and education, employs more than 2,000 people worldwide.
