Covington adds former AGC exec Navar as principal

Boutique bank Covington Associates LLC reported it has appointed former America’s Growth Capital banker Zeke Navar a principal at the Boston firm.

Founded in 1991, Covington specializes in mergers, acquisitions, debt and equity capital raising, debt and equity restructuring and strategic acquisitions. Its clients are mostly middle-market companies in the business service, consumer, industrial, health-care and technology sectors.

At America’s Growth Capital, Navar was responsible for private placement transactions, mergers and acquisitions for companies in the software and services sector. Prior to that, he held positions at Broadview and Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown. Previously, he was a project engineer at General Electric Co. Navar received a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.

Covington Associates managing partner Chris Covington cited Navar’s experience working with private and public companies including cross-border deals. He said the company expects Navar to expand Covington’s presence in the technology sector.
