
Kodiak Venture Partners LP is expected to announce two new appointments today: Steven Horwitz as operating partner and W. David Lee as executive in residence.
Horwitz has served as CEO of Clareos Inc., RulesPower Inc. and Q-Link Technologies Inc., and he has also been a corporate officer at Tech Data Corp., according to Kodiak. Lee was recently director of engineering at Analog Devices Inc. and, before that, served as senior vice president and managing director of Arthur D. Little Inc.’s technology and product development practice. He has also been the CEO or founding CEO of several startup companies, including Caveo Technology Inc., T2 Biosystems Inc. and Permabit Technology Corp., according to Kodiak’s release.
Burlington-based RulesPower, an enterprise analytics provider, was acquired by Fair Isaac Corp. of Minneapolis in 2005. Q-Link was bought by Adobe Systems Inc., according to Kodiak.
Waltham-based Kodiak focuses on seed and early-stage investments in communications, wireless, semiconductor, software, services, Internet and life sciences spaces. Kodiak partners could not be immediately reached for comment.
