Lucid Imagination reported to have landed $6M of Series A funding

The Newton Highlands company received investment support from Granite Ventures and Walden International, the regulatory filing states. Walden general partner Mary Coleman and Granite principal Chris McKay are named in the regulatory filing.
Lucid Imagination offers support and services for the open source Apache Solr server and Apache Lucene search library. Its one-page website lists five Lucene/Solr technology experts as Lucid’s technical staff, including Erik Hatcher, Grant Ingersoll, Marc Krellenstein, Mark Miller and Yonik Seeley.
Granite Ventures is a San Francisco-based early-stage venture capital firm that, per its website, focuses its investments in the fields of communication and software.
Walden International, also a San Francisco venture capital firm, targets its investments in semiconductors, electronics and digital consumer, software and IT services, clean technology, communications and emerging technologies sectors.
