NaviMedix Inc., a Cambridge-based health-care communications provider, has named Brad Waugh as president and CEO of the company, following the resignation of Tim Hargarten.
NaviMedix officials said that Waugh has been tasked with growing the company’s 670,000 member national provider network.
Prior to leading NaviMedix, Waugh held the role of U.S. president and CEO of financial services firm Wincor-Nixdorf, which focuses on the ATM and POS markets. Before his role at Wincor-Nixdorf, Waugh founded CRM optimization company Watch Hill Partners Inc., which was sold to MasterCard International in 2004.
Waugh also founded the Rhode Island Technology Council, where he also served as a former president. He is a current board member for Antenna Software, Point Judith Capital and REVAL. He also held board member roles for the Rhode Island Convention Center Authority, the Narragansett Bay Commission, ArcStream Solutions, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island and Boston University.
Waugh graduated from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree from the School of Management.
NaviMedix develops the NaviNet web communications tool, which eases interaction between providers and health plans.
