Synchronized Manufacturing Technologies, a Salem, NH.-based EMS provider, has named Jolene Schofield as program manager and Steve Cahalane as operations manager. Schofield’s 20 year’s of experience includes her tenure with Sanmina-SCI Corp. Cahalane’s background as an engineer, materials and operations manager includes previous experience with Wang and Celestica.
Software
Axeda Corp. of Foxborough has hired former OnStar chief technologist Stephen Habermas as vice president of products. As chief technologist for OnStar, Habermas led the creation of the system architecture for remotely managing the software embedded in in-vehicle devices. Most recently, he served as vice president of technology for Tele Atlas. Habermas also served as a U.S. Navy officer, where he was responsible for the daily operation of the 165-person, $1.8 billion USS Nebraska submarine.

Marketing communications agency Seidler Bernstein Inc., which specializes in health care and life technologies, has hired Nik See as director of brand planning and strategy, Angel Micarelli as account supervisor, Jennifer Charron as account manager, and promoted Leslie Loock to project manager. See most recently headed his own brand consultancy, serving a variety of clients from Boston to his native Singapore. Previously, he directed brand experience programs for Design Continuum in Boston. Before joining Seidler Bernstein, Micarelli served as senior writer, copy director and, ultimately, vice president at Acom Healthcare in Hingham. Micarelli’s prior employment included human resources management at GIGA Information Group, and writer and employee relations administrator at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Charron comes to Seidler Bernstein from JCSI Corp. of Westborough, where she was an account manager/marketing specialist. Prior to JCSI, she was a marketing coordinator and graphic designer at Concord Hospital in Concord, N.H. Loock has moved up in the Seidler Bernstein account team from assistant account manager to project manager. Prior to joining Seidler Bernstein, Loock worked in residential brokerage for Coldwell Banker in Waltham.
The Winter, Wyman Cos. of Waltham have promoted five employees to general manager positions. Tracy Cashman has been named general manager of Winter’s New England Information Technology division. She was formerly a partner of the same division. Ian Ide was promoted to general manager of Winter’s New York technology division. He was previously a partner in that division. Stephen Kasmouski has been promoted to general manager of Winter’s Software Technology division after serving as a partner of the division. Ken Martin was named general manager of Winter, Wyman’s New England Accounting & Finance and Investments & Financial Services divisions. He formerly was a senior partner and division manager of those two divisions. Jonathan Mazzocchi was promoted to general manager of Winter Wyman’s New York Accounting & Finance division after serving as a partner at that division.
Finance
Thomas Prior has joined LifeYield LLC, a Boston-based financial technology provider to wealth management firms and advisers, as head of sales. Before joining LifeYield, Prior was a senior sales executive at CheckFree Services Corp. Before CheckFree, Prior was head of sales at Upstream Technologies from 2002 until it was acquired by CheckFree in 2007. Before Upstream he held a number of senior sales positions, including director of sales at Zantaz; vice president of sales for Quote.com; and director of sales at Information Access Co.
