Print Edition StoriesPolaris Venture Partners LP has returned to participate in a $20 million Series E round of funding for Paratek Microwave Inc., according to online reports. Fellow investors include Morgenthaler Ventures, Novak Biddle Venture Partners, Investor Growth, and ABS Ventures.
Columbia, Md.-based Paratek Microwave makes radio frequency components for mobile devices. The company also has offices in Nashua, N.H. The latest round brings the company’s funding to $118 million, according to website PE Hub, which cited regulatory filings for the new funding news.
Locally, Polaris’ network hardware portfolio includes Boston-based Ember Corp., Acton-based Mintera Corp., and SiCortex Inc. of Maynard.
Polaris has been invested in Paratek since at least 2004, according to the company’s website. In 2004, Polaris general partner Robert Metcalfe was named board chairman. Polaris general partner Robert Geiman now holds the Waltham venture capital firm’s seat on Paratek’s board of directors.
Geiman could not be reached Tuesday morning. A Paratek spokesman was unable to comment on the funding report.
