Roderick de Greef chairs Cambridge Heart board
By Mass High Tech Staff
Former chief financial officer of Cambridge Heart Inc., Roderick de Greef, has been appointed chairman of the company’s board of directors, effective immediately. De Greef replaces Kenneth Hachikian, who will continue to serve on the board as lead independent director.
Founded in 1990, Tewksbury-based Cambridge Heart (OTC: CAMH) develops products for non-invasively diagnosing cardiac disease and those potentially at-risk for sudden cardiac arrest. Its tests include the Microvolt T-Wave Alternans Test, which can measure small fluctuations in heartbeat.
De Greef joins the Cambridge Heart board having previously served as executive vice president and CFO of Cardiac Science Inc., which merged with Quinton Cardiology in 2005. He further helps the life sciences sector by sitting on the boards of Endologix Inc. and BioLife Soutions Inc.
De Greef graduated from the University of Oregon with an MBA and from California State University in San Francisco with a bachelor’s degree in economics and international relations.
Cambridge Heart reported quarterly revenue in September of $1.12 million, with a net loss of $2.11 million.
