John Evers Jr. named CEO of Siemens IT

Siemens IT Solutions and Services, a division of Siemens AG, has appointed John E. Evers Jr. as president and CEO of the Norwalk, Conn.-based business. Evers will begin his new position on November 10, reporting to the company’s board of directors.
Before joining Siemens, Evers amassed a total of $16 billion in contract values throughout his career. He most recently held the role of vice president of worldwide outsourcing sales at Hewlestt Packard Co. He also served as general manager and vice president of Americas Outsourcing business at Hewlett, where he worked with U.S., Canadian and Latin American industries. Before 2004, Evers worked in IBM’s Global Services business as vice president of media and entertainment.
Evers graduated from Virginia Tech’s Pamplin School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
Siemens IT Solutions and Services employs about 43,000 workers who provide consulting, IT management, system integration.
