The Pitch: Tripleseat is seeking funding to grow its sales and marketing efforts.
PITCHING THE TECHNOLOGY
Tripleseat makes web-based sales and event-management software for the restaurant and events markets. Tripleseat’s Ruby on Rails-based product is intended to allow restaurants to strengthen their customer retention, improve productivity, and increase revenue from their private dining businesses. The company says it uses web-based delivery and payment tools, and avoids lengthy contracts. The software includes an online event schedule, bookings manager, and customer relationship manager. The company’s Tripleseat Banquet Event Order allows restaurants to distribute an event’s details to guests, chefs and managers.

Who is on the management team? Jonathan Morse, co-founder, formerly of Marriott International Inc., Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc., Back Bay Restaurant Group Inc. and Bertucci’s Italian Restaurant; Dusty Davidson, co-founder; and Kevin Zink, co-founder. Davidson and Zink are also the co-owners of Omaha, Neb.-based company Brightmix LLC, which uses Ruby on Rails and ASP.net to develop web applications like Tripleseat’s.
