Melinda Smith named CFO of Expressor Software
By Mass High Tech Staff
Expressor Software Corp., a Burlington data integration software developer, has found a new chief financial officer in former Aspen Technology Inc. director of finance Melinda Smith.
In addition to several financial roles she held at Aspen Technology, Smith also served as chief financial officer at edocs Inc., an online billing service business that was ultimately rolled into Oracle Corp. after being sold to Siebel Systems Inc. Prior to her work at edocs, Smith worked as vice president of finance at Gradient Technologies Ltd. and in the high-tech practice group at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Smith earned a B.A. in business administration from the University of Michigan.
Founded in 2003, Expressor Software announced in August its raising of a $10 million Series B round of financing, led by Commonwealth Capital Ventures, with participation also from Globespan Capital Partners and Sigma Partners. As a result, Commonwealth Capital general partner Justin Perreault joined Expressor’s board of directors.
In March, Expressor Software named a Sigma Partners entrepreneur-in-residence, Bob Potter, as CEO of the company.
