NH High Tech Council names Product of the Year semifinalists

The New Hampshire High Technology Council has announced its list of eight semifinalists for its 2008 Product of the Year competition, which recognizes overall performance, innovation, quality and uniqueness in a product.
This year’s semi-finalists for Product of the Year include:
- Bradford Networks — NAC Director Guest/Contractor Services
- Cellular Specialties Inc. — DSP85 Digital Repeater
- Dell Inc. — Dell EqualLogic PS5500E
- Eleme’ Medical Inc. — Smooth Shapes Systems
- Ensconce Data Technology — Digital Shredder
- Insight Technology — MTMV2-LCD
- Russound — E-Series System
- SphereOptics — Vacuum Compatible Uniform Radiance Source
On Oct. 20, a panel of judges will rank semi-finalists based on personal presentations. The finalists — up to five products and their companies — are then invited to the Product of the Year event, held at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester, N.H. on November 18. The winner of the competition will be determined by both the judges and an audience vote, based on seven-minute presentations of the finalists.
Judges for the semifinalist round of the NHHTC Product of the Year contest include: Wendy Caswell, Zink Imaging president and CEO; engineering manager Brian Cole of Gentex Electro-Acoustics; Dick Morley, inventor of the Programmable Logic Controller; Bob McCray, manager and/or investor in 35 New Hampshire companies; David Todaro, chairman of the Software Association of New Hampshire; Steve Varga, general manager of Insight Tech-Gear; and Ed Mitchell, software expert at Compressor Energy Solutions.
