Cisbio US expands Bedford drug-screening site

By Mass High Tech Staff

Cisbio US, a subsidiary of and drug screening and test development company Cisbio Bioassays, has announced its relocation to an expanded 10,000-square-foot facility in Bedford. The larger facility reflects the growth of the company, which has doubled its employee count from two years ago.

Cisbio US attributes some of its growth to an April launch of HTRF Terbium, which screens GPCRs, transmembrane receptors, using its patented homogeneous time-resolved fluorescence (HTRF) technology.

The company expects the expanded facility to host training, theory and lectures on HTRF technology.

Since 2002, Cisbio has been located in Bedford, with parent company Cisbio Bioassays located in France.
