Valpey-Fisher rearranges management positions

The board of directors of Valpey-Fisher Corp., a network timing and frequency control systems developer, has appointed Michael J. Ferrantino Jr. as chief operating officer and executive vice president of the company, presiding over daily company operations.
Ferrantino has served as Valpey-Fisher vice president, control components group, for almost five years.
The board also appointed in May, but effective as of October 1, Walt Oliwa as senior vice president of research and development. Oliwa will manage new product development in the control components group, reporting to Ferrantino Jr.
Valpey-Fisher president and CEO Michael J. Ferrantino will continue in his role and drive company expansion, acquisitions and joint ventures.
Hopkinton-based Valpey-Fisher (AMEX:VPF) develops frequency control products, from high-precision crystal oscillators to low-noise timing modules, through its frequency control division. The company also operates an ultrasound division.
