Stealthy Auraria Networks rakes in $10M
Boxborough-based Auraria Networks Inc., a content management system provider, has raised a second round of funding worth $10 million, according to published reports. Pilot House Ventures and Matrix Partners, both venture capital firms based in Boston, supported the financing, website PE Hub reports.
Auraria Networks, which provides little information on the nature of its business, was founded by Lucent Technologies veteran Steve Akers, who now serves as president and CEO of Auraria.
According to the Auraria website, the company’s management team consists of several ex-Lucent Technologies employees, as well. Ted Dolan, Auraria corporate controller, formerly held executive positions at several companies, including Lucent-acquired Spring Tide Networks. Peter Livingstone, current Auraria director of business development, held a senior systems engineer position at Spring Tide Networks. And Will Engler, Auraria’s vice president of operations and customer service, formerly served as vice president and general manager for the Access Networks business unit at Lucent.
Jerry Stern, vice president of engineering at Auraria, has no connection to Lucent.
