Red Sox broadcaster, ex-Sox second baseman, bank pitchman, restaurateur, children’s book author and Red Sox Nation president Jerry Remy can add a couple of new titles to the list: blogger and tech startup board member.

Boston-sports-themed social networking company TruMedia Networks LLC, reports striking up a marketing and content distribution partnership with Remy. Under the deal, Remy will blog for TruMedia’s Red Sox fan community, Sawxheads.com. Remy’s website, Theremyreport.com, will become part of TruMedia’s advertising network. Remy will also join TruMedia’s board of directors, according to the company.

Remy played 11 seasons at second base for the California Angels (1975-1978) and the Red Sox (1978-1985) before beginning his broadcasting career. He has served as Red Sox color analyst for broadcasts on New England Sports Networks (NESN) since 1988.

Sawxheads.com is part of TruMedia’s group of social networks for fans of Boston’s sports teams. Its other properties include Boston Celtics site Celtsheads.com, New England Patriots site Patsheads.com and Boston Bruins site Blackandgoldheads.com.

TruMedia, based in Boston’s Brighton neighborhood, bought the online fan communities from Boxcar, a North Adams-based website developer, last month. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

In August, the company named former Boston Red Sox executive Rafe Anderson as its president and CEO. Before joining TruMedia, Anderson was director of business development at Fenway Sports Group.

Before FSG, Anderson worked on digital media programs for Red Sox, where he helped develop the sales and marketing strategy for the team’s online fan club, Red Sox Nation.
